Instructions for installing:
Inspect assembly for shipping damage
You WILL smell gas, this assembly has been tested for leaks
Become familiar with the assembly operation:
A. Rotate handle, watch poppet valve open and close, as you do this, feel the resistance change as handle is rotated.
B. Handle will rotate 360 degrees either direction, center horizontal is the CLOSED position.
C. Full vertical is the OPEN position
D. The “packing nut” at base of handle can be slightly adjusted for a custom tension on the handle. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN, the seal is actually Teflon , not rubber.
To install:
Brush the male thread below screen with liquid Teflon pipe sealant.
DO NOT GET SEALANT ON SCREEN.
Carefully thread and tighten assembly to fuel tank and align
Install 3 way valve assembly or pipe adapter by same method as above.
Once installed, the sediment bowl can be cleaned at any time
Gasket and screen will remain in place
Sediment Bowl can then be easily re-installed on assembly
